AlixPartners Names New Chief Financial Officer

SOUTHFIELD, MI (August 9, 2007) – AlixPartners, the international corporate turnaround, performance improvement and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of Doug Barnett as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer.

Before joining AlixPartners, Barnett was Senior Vice president of Finance for UGS PLM Software, a division of Siemens Automation and Drives, headquartered in Plano, Texas. In that role, he was responsible for helping the company integrate into the Siemens family as it related to finance and accounting. He previously served as UGS’s Chief Financial Officer, in which he was responsible for the company’s domestic and international financial operations, planning and analysis, including accounting, treasury, taxes, audit, investor relations, internal controls, SEC reporting, purchasing, real estate, risk management, and corporate administrative functions.

Barnett once served as CFO with Colfax Corporation in Richmond, Virginia, and before that was Vice President-Finance of Giddings & Lewis Inc., the largest supplier of industrial automation products in North America. Over his 25-year career, he has been associated with The First Boston Corp., Van Kampen Merritt Inc., and Price Waterhouse. He has served in positions as acting-CFO, Vice President-Corporate Controller, Corporate Treasurer, Corporate Finance Associate, Portfolio Manager, and Senior Accountant.

Barnett received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
