Pamela O'Neill

Pamela has extensive experience in performing financial advisory engagements for a variety of purposes, including litigation, financial and tax reporting, reorganizations, divestitures, and bankruptcy. Her considerable experience in the preparation of expert witness testimony includes damage calculations and other valuation related financial analyses. Pamela has been retained as an expert witness in numerous litigation consulting engagements, and has prepared and delivered expert witness testimony litigated in New York and across the country. Her engagements include determining the fair value of equity and other business interests; estimating lost profits, including economic loss from intellectual property infringement; and determining the investment value for financial and strategic buyers, including private equity investors when deals are incorrectly valued as a result of fraudulent activity. She also has testified as an expert witness before the New York Stock Exchange arbitration panel. In addition, Pamela provides litigation consulting on valuation issues for attorneys litigating in bankruptcy court and other courtrooms across the country.

Her corporate engagements involve valuations for tax planning and compliance and financial reporting purposes. The purchase price allocations arising from acquisitions have provided Pamela with particular expertise in the identification, valuation and remaining useful life analysis of intangible assets. She has performed valuations of many intangible assets, including the following: trademarks/trade names, patents, non-compete agreements, music and video catalogues, software, subscriber lists, assembled workforce and customer lists. As for reorganizations, Pamela has valued divestitures and is frequently asked to prepare valuations to assist clients in understanding the tax consequences associated with a change in the legal structure of a company.

Before joining AlixPartners, Pamela was a Principal in the Litigation Valuation & Investigative Services practice at XRoads Solutions Group in New York, where she performed similar services. Prior to that she was the Principal-In-Charge of the New York office of Avail Consulting, an independent valuation firm. And prior to that, Pamela was a Principal with Deloitte, where she served as the National Coordinator for Dispute Consulting Services for the firm’s Valuation practice group. In addition, she was the Valuation group’s national representative for financial service companies.

Pamela received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Lehigh University and a master’s degree with a concentration in finance from Lehigh University.
