Lisa Nolan Ahern is experienced in providing advisory and consulting services to clients on a wide array of financial matters. Her expertise is in the analysis, preparation, and rebuttal of claims for entities involved in litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Lisa has extensive experience in advising clients on intellectual property matters, including issues of patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade secrets, false advertising and unfair competition. Lisa also has experience in advising creditors’ committees and debtors on a broad range of bankruptcy issues including solvency, fraudulent conveyance, and preferences, and she has prepared damages analyses related to accounting misstatements and breaches of director and officer fiduciary duties. Lisa has provided such services to clients in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, manufacturing, oil and gas, financial and professional services, and electronics.
Lisa also has significant experience in advising healthcare organizations on various financial issues. In particular, she has conducted analyses related to breach of contract, matters of antitrust, accounting malpractice, reimbursement rate disputes, and intellectual property disputes. Lisa has also analyzed and performed efficiency studies on behalf of healthcare entities and assisted a not-for-profit organization in licensing a healthcare-based technology to the marketplace. In addition, she has analyzed healthcare billing systems compliance and royalty payment compliance on behalf of publicly-traded healthcare corporations. She has also performed valuation analysis related to healthcare entities.
Before joining AlixPartners, Lisa was a Senior Manager in the Litigation Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young. Prior to her work at Ernst & Young, Lisa provided litigation support as a member of the Dispute Analysis and Corporate Recovery group of Price Waterhouse.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics with honors and distinction, and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Iowa. She is an associate member of the American Bar Association, Sections of Intellectual Property Law and Litigation, and is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Business Valuation Association.
