Garry L. Brown

Garry Brown has 24 years of project execution experience in high-value management consulting. His engagement expertise includes over 150 clients, where he has performed restructurings, strategic sourcing, supplier management, product development and cost reductions.

Garry has earned numerous awards and recognition for his excellent leadership skills and performance achievements. He possesses a finely tuned financial acumen and an ability to consistently achieve success in complex situations. His industry experience includes, automotive, energy, agriculture, transportation, natural resources and education.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Garry served as a Vice President and account officer with the Automotive Practice of A.T. Kearney. Among his recent experiences and successes with A.T. Kearney are:

  • Performing an operating strategy for Ford Mexico covering manufacturing footprint, local content, sales and marketing, and component and vehicle export plans.
  • Turnaround plan and implementation support to Ford do Brazil, addressing new Amazon modular assembly plant, consolidation of current operations, renegotiation of supply contracts, and redesign of selective high-cost systems.
  • Part complexity reduction and reuse strategy for Ford North America resulting in 50% reduction in number of systems and components.
  • Post merger integration between Land Rover and Ford, delivering $150 million of quick efficiencies.
Garry has worked with A.T. Kearney in positions of increasing responsibility and varying assignments since 1986. In addition, he has worked for Centaur Associates, a boutique public policy and regulatory consultancy firm, which was subsequently acquired by A.T. Kearney.

Garry holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the George Washington University School of Business and Government, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Bucknell University.
