Denis is a managing director with AlixPartners, LLC in the firm’s Financial Advisory Services practice and is based in New York. He has over 25 years of experience as a financial consultant specializing in litigation consulting, corporate recovery consulting, business valuation, and forensic services.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Denis was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ New York office. He has provided litigation consulting in numerous areas, including analysis of financial, economic, and accounting issues for a wide range of industries. He has also served as a neutral arbitrator and provided consulting services, including testimony, on behalf of companies involved in arbitration. As an auditor, he has performed audits and related services in various industries.
Denis has provided corporate recovery consulting services, involving restructuring, reorganization, and turnaround assistance in several industries. Selected examples of his experience are:
- Serves as Trustee of Alamo National Car Rental Liquidating Trust.
- Serves as Officer of TL Administration Inc.
- Serves as officer and director in US-based subsidiaries of Maxwell Communication Corp., PLC in connection with restructuring and winding down their affairs.
- Serves as officer and director of US-based subsidiaries of Peregrine Investments Holdings, Ltd. in connection with restructuring and winding down their affairs.
- Serves as financial advisor to official and unofficial Committees of Unsecured Creditors for: Micro Warehouse Inc., ANC Rental Corp., ContiFinancial Corp., Midway Airlines, Great American Recreation Inc., Regency Cruise Lines, Consolidated Stainless Inc., VTX/Vertex Technologies, American White Cross Inc., and Drexel Burham Lambert.
He has also provided valuation services in connection with litigation and corporate recovery assignments. Selected valuation service assignments include:
- Valuations in connection with the sale of significant US operating companies of Maxwell Corp.
- Valuation of securities trading business in connection with estimating damages resulting from breach of contract.
- Valuation and associated due diligence for a potential buyer of a significant New York City retailer in Chapter 11 proceedings.
Denis holds a JD degree from Fordham University School of Law, and an MBA and BS degree from the University of Maryland. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the New York bar. He frequently provides expert testimony, is a regular contributor to business and trade publications, and is a sought-after speaker.
