In the sensitive task of crisis communications, Debra counsels clients and develops strategic communications programs targeted at various constituencies, including employees, customers, suppliers and lenders. She has extensive experience in service, manufacturing, and retail businesses in crisis communications, public relations and marketing. Assignments include managing an extensive communications campaign for a women's apparel manufacturer with international operations, and developing and implementing public relations efforts, as well as an employee communication program, for an automotive supplier.
Debra also serves as AlixPartners' chief marketing officer. She has held sales and marketing positions in a variety of industries, including publishing, printing and computer chip manufacturing. An early member of the International Women's Insolvency & Reorganization Confederation, Debra co-founded The Michigan Network of IWIRC. She has a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Michigan and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
