Doug Jung

Doug is a Managing Director of AlixPartners in our New York Office Financial Advisory Services practice. He possesses a diverse investigation, due diligence, audit, finance and credit background with over 25 years of professional experience.

Doug has conducted a variety of financial investigations, reviews of business operations, and analyses of complex structured financings at a major independent power producer on behalf of the CEO, General Counsel, and outside counsel. In addition he has led or assisted in e-discovery matters in connection with potential litigation.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Doug was with JPMorgan Chase where he was Chief Operating Officer for Chase Business Credit involved in integrating three predecessor asset-based lending businesses. While at the bank, Doug also led a team of professionals who performed diligence at distressed clients and provided opinions to bankers on clients’ internal controls, systems, financial reporting reliability, deal specific issues, as well as asset values for accounts receivable and inventory, borrowing base and related structuring advice. He also managed an asset-based banking team, handling an asset-based portfolio comprised of up to $10 billion in commitments. During his tenure there, Doug worked on DIP or leveraged finance transactions in private equity transactions and storied corporate clients.

Prior to that, Doug was the field examination manager for the predecessor of a CIT business unit, a middle-market asset-based lender, and had a stint as a CFO for a privately held company. He began his career at Ernst & Young in their audit and M&A practice groups. He performed audits, fraud and forensic reviews, as well as litigation support and specialized reviews for private equity firms.

His experience covers a wide array of industries, including aerospace, heavy manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, distribution, telecom, agriculture, textile & apparel, energy, finance companies and healthcare. Company sizes include large public multi-national firms as well as small, middle market companies.

Doug is a CPA, and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Syracuse University. He is a member of the AICPA, AIRA and TMA.
