Laurent has 15 years of experience in strategy and organization, research and development, strategic sourcing, and post-merger integration in industries such as automotive, assembly, and utilities.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was with A.T. Kearney where he worked in the firm’s Paris, New York, and Detroit offices. While at A.T. Kearney, he was in charge of the Automotive and Assembly practice for SW Europe. Before that, he worked at Thalès, the French electronics defense group.
Examples of his experience include:
- Turned around a European Tier 1 supplier (long term actions on sales, working capital, cost basis, HR)
- Found a buyer for a large distressed electronics factory in France. Developed the business plan and organized the transaction
- Led the operational integration (program office, organization, synergy and process teams) of two Tier 1 automotive suppliers
- Redesigned the strategic planning process and content of a large player in the utilities sector. Designed their acquisition plan for specific geographies and supported the roll out (due diligence/integration)
- Led a wide-ranging project on electronics and software R&D quality for an OEM (architecture, process, organization, and skills)
- Redesigned the global R&D footprint of a large electronics manufacturing company (US, Europe, China)
- Led a major strategic sourcing project for a major global railway OEM (diagnostic, organization, categories, and value chain)
- Numerous due diligence projects in both the automotive and electronics industries in Europe
Laurent holds an MSc degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from HEC business school in Paris. He speaks French, German, and English fluently.
