Steve Aschkenase and Marc Landy Join AlixPartners as Directors

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (February 14, 2008) – AlixPartners, the global restructuring, consulting, and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of two new directors: Steve Aschkenase, who joins the firm’s Performance Improvement practice in Chicago, and Marc Landy, who joins the firm’s Financial Advisory Services practice in New York.

Aschkenase has a 20-year track record of impact on complex initiatives, working across organizational functions, levels and cultures, as well as business and government entities to drive results in contentious, challenging situations. He has led and delivered projects in North America, Europe and Asia, and he has been a partner and practice leader in multiple, major consulting firms, most recently with Deloitte as a Managing Director in Shanghai. While in China, he focused on low-cost country sourcing and multinational joint venture development for the Chinese and US markets. He has also focused on helping original equipment (OE) manufacturers maximize the profitability of their aftermarket businesses. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Landy has more than 25 years of professional experience in accounting, financial management, forensic investigations, litigation consulting, and auditing. Before joining AlixPartners, he was a director with Goldin Associates in New York where he consulted to counsel conducting audit committee investigations and to parties involved in various bankruptcy-related disputes. Currently residing in Westport, Connecticut, Landy holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
