AlixPartners Adds Sourcing and Retail Experts to its New York Office

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (March 6, 2008) – AlixPartners, the global restructuring, consulting, and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of two new Directors to its Performance Improvement practice in New York, Prasad Hedge (age 37) and Robert Tousignant (age 49).

Hedge has more than 17 years of experience in consulting, focusing on optimizing the strategic relationships between businesses through strategic sourcing, outsourcing, supplier collaboration, and logistics management. He has led some of the largest sourcing programs in the world, and his experience includes work with more than 35 of the Fortune 100. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was Managing Director-Consulting and Vice President-Strategic Planning with Ariba in New York. He has also worked with other consultancies, including A.T. Kearney and Denali Consulting. His education and work experience spans four continents, and he has lived in Australia as well as throughout Asia, Europe and America. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from University of Massachusetts and an MBA with honors from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Tousignant has more than 25 years of experience in the retail and consumer products industries. He has a blend of industry and consulting experience. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he served as Vice President for Capgemini in Montreal, Canada. In addition, he brings more than 15 years of industry experience at global corporations such as Diageo, Schering Plough, and Procter & Gamble where he held several roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing operations and supply chain management. He holds an MBA from McGill University and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, a licensed Management Consultant, and a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
