AlixPartners Adds David Carlson, an IT Implementation Expert, to its Chicago Office

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (May 13, 2008) – AlixPartners, the global restructuring, consulting, and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of David Carlson as a director in the firm’s IT Transformation Services practice. He will be based in Chicago.

Carlson has more than 23 years of IT, consulting and implementation experience, and has expertise is in turning around troubled projects, reducing IT costs and complexities, developing enterprise architecture that support business operations, implementing IT governance and project management disciplines, streamlining software development processes, revamping IT organizations and managing large scale implementations. He has worked in many different industries, including telecom, high tech, financial services, mining and manufacturing.

Before joining AlixPartners, Carlson was Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal in Chicago where he was responsible for developing their Midwest Business Consulting Practice.

Carlson is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering and an MBA with focus in finance. He is also a certified Business Architect and Project Manager.
