AlixPartners Adds Former Navigant Consulting Managing Director

SOUTHFIELD, MI (May 8, 2007) – AlixPartners, the international corporate turnaround, performance improvement and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of Michael Faraci as a managing director who will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Faraci has extensive expertise in the area of litigation discovery with a focus on the strategy surrounding collection, review, and production of complex electronic data. He has more than 13 years of experience in the information technology industry including systems engineering, application development, configuration and release management, and relational database development.

His experience includes work on many of the highest profile regulatory investigations in the country, and his clients have included companies spanning the telecommunications, media, investment banking, defense and manufacturing industries. On these engagements, he has led teams in securing data in a forensically sound and defensible manner, and he has worked with his clients to develop efficient solutions to review the potentially responsive data sets. These engagements regularly involve the review and production of millions of documents.

“We are pleased that Mike Faraci has joined AlixPartners,” said Michael Grindfors, the firm’s CEO. “Not only does he have extensive litigation discovery expertise, but he also has hands-on experience as a technical expert to assess a company’s IT systems and retention policies – a distinctive combination that will help us grow our electronic discovery practice. He is a great asset to our firm and our clients.”

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Faraci was a Managing Director at Navigant Consulting, Inc. where he headed their East Coast Discovery Services practice. He was also involved in determining the practice’s global technology strategy.

Before his work at Navigant, he served as Vice President at the Systems Evaluation Group, Inc. He began his career at User Technology Associates performing cost and schedule control as well as systems engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the College of William and Mary.
