LONDON (July 18, 2007) – AlixPartners, the global restructuring, consulting, and financial advisory firm, announced the appointment of two highly experienced new directors in its London office, Maurice Moses and Shagun Dubey.

Moses, a veteran of more than 25 years of UK and international corporate advisory and financing work, also has stellar credentials in performance improvement and the restructuring of complex businesses, including serving in interim management roles and leading operational as well as financial restructurings.

Moses joins the firm from Alvarez & Marsal Europe, where he was managing director. Before that, he was partner and national head of business recovery with Levy Gee/Numerica LLP. In that role, he worked closely with boards of directors on strategy in times of great change, including business plan development, refinancing, and cash management. He has also been appointed administrator of companies under the insolvency legislation.

Moses is a Chartered Accountant as well as a licensed insolvency practitioner. He is a member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL) and joint editor of INSOL World. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, and Association of Business Recovery Professionals. Moses is past-president of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, the primary licensing authority for insolvency practitioners in the UK.

Dubey has more than 17 years of experience leading major financial restructurings, crisis management, forensic, distressed M&A, and pensions-related advisory assignments, serving both as a financial advisor and in interim executive roles. Besides the UK, his mandates have been based in North America, continental Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, covering a variety of business sectors.

Dubey joins the firm from BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s financial advisory and business restructuring practice. Prior to that, he was a director at Ernst & Young LLP, where he began his restructuring career in 1990. A UK Chartered Accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner, he is a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals.

“We are pleased that Shagun and Maurice have joined the firm,” said David Lovett, managing director and co-head of European operations for AlixPartners. “Each brings significant experience and distinguished track records in restructuring and crisis management to our London office.
