Job Description

All IMS consultants at all levels have excellent technical, analytical, data management, project management, writing, presentation, negotiation and communication skills. Applicants should have a strong technical skill set and be qualified and interested to deliver in one of our service areas below. Ability and willingness to undertake extensive travel domestically and internationally. Long hours during the week and on weekends due to client demands may be required.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Bankruptcy - Commensurate expert level consulting with backgrounds in the following areas
  • Accounting, finance, treasury, litigation matters and/or data analytics.
  • Experience with a variety of key roles, including acting as Claims Agent, Plan Administrator or Trustee, or in Claims Resolution Management.
  • Should have corresponding experience in maximizing recoveries to creditors, claims resolution, bankruptcy and class action settlement matters.
  • Expertise in systems, mass data analysis, negotiations and process re-engineering are crucial.  Must be capable of managing clients and/or engagements autonomously.
  • Strategic Communication Services

     

• Litigation - eDiscovery Technology – Commensurate experience in the following areas
  • Electronic Discovery – where our skilled professionals find, compile, organize categorize, and verify case-critical data quickly
  • Litigation Readiness – where we employ a proven process to ensure clients’ electronic files are easily accessible for potential litigation
  • Data Analytics Services – where our experienced staff use their expertise in technology, finance and accounting to compile vast amounts of data, perform advanced data mining and regression techniques to solve complex problems

     

• Applied Analytics – Commensurate experience in the following areas
  • Utilizing database development and management tools (Access, SQL, .NET) and/or specific business intelligence tools (STATA, KXEN, Tableau) and applying them across the earnings and financial position spectrums to enhance corporate performance
  • Applying data analytics to increase revenue in areas including customer deductions, profitability database systems, manufacturing footprint and production optimization, safety stock models, sales volume forecasting, service line profitability, SKU rationalization and sourcing models.

     

• IT Transformation Services – Commensurate experience in the following areas
  • Experts capable of leading all aspects of IT in critical situations requiring rapid improvement. IT Transformation professionals have both company and consulting backgrounds. Our team consists of experienced CIO’s, CTO’s, and large scale PMO practitioners with deep vertical and broad horizontal industry experience.  We have a passion for driving IT effectiveness & enabling clients to achieve business objectives.

     

Work Experience Requirements

Directors in Information Management Services at AlixPartners, LLP typically have:

• A minimum of ten years of applicable professional and management consulting experience with top tier firms
• Experience and ability to lead large and complex projects working with highest level of client leadership
• Strong coaching, mentoring and team leadership skills
• Able to manage complex client and external stakeholder relationships
• Known for specific technology, industry or business process expertise
• Developed network of business and lead source contacts
• Successful experience leading, developing and closing sales opportunities / leads 
• Ability to take interim management roles (within risk management parameters, typically with Managing Director oversight)

Education Requirements

This position requires a Bachelors degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science and/or Management Information Systems.
