NEW YORK (Dec. 10, 2012) – AlixPartners, the global business advisory firm, today announced that Michelle Repko, a director in the firm’s Information Management Services unit, has been elected to the board of directors of the New York regional chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).
IWIRC is an international networking organization for women in the restructuring industry, with more than 1,000 members worldwide. IWIRC’s New York chapter provides opportunities for regional members to participate in networking, business development, leadership activities and an assortment of events.

As a member of the board, Repko will be responsible for advancing the organization’s mission of facilitating the success of women in the industry. She will also be co-substantive program director, establishing and organizing a series of educational events designed to help restructuring professionals of all levels and disciplines enhance their skills in areas including networking, leadership and business development.
AlixPartners’ Information Management Services uses information technology to improve corporate financial and operational performance, execute restructurings, and provide litigation and investigation consulting services. Repko’s has worked in the areas of bankruptcy-case administration and information management, including claims resolution, plan administration, implementation of turnaround initiatives, and support of strategic and operational decision-making.
