LONDON (7 Dec. 2009) -- Global business-advisory firm AlixPartners received two awards and a special judge’s commendation at the recent Institute for Turnaround’s 2009 awards ceremony.
David Hewish, a Director at AlixPartners, was named IFT’s “Turnaround Rising Star”, while, for its work with Galiform plc, AlixPartners collected the IFT award for “Listed-Company Turnaround 2009” alongside Galiform CEO Matthew Ingle and CFO Mark Robson. AlixPartners was also singled out for a judge’s commendation in the “International Turnaround 2009” category, for its work with Sea Containers Ltd. This recognition comes less than a week after this year’s successful exit financing at the Bermuda-based transport and container-leasing company was named “Shipping Deal of the Year” for 2009 in North America at the Jane's Transport Finance Awards.
“AlixPartners’ wins at this year’s IFT awards are further recognition of the distinct blend of turnaround expertise we have under one roof. This lays testament to our growing reputation for providing bespoke financial and operational advice and support to our clients in the UK and across borders. It’s a great day when we celebrate success jointly with our clients,” said David Lovett, a Managing Director of AlixPartners and co-head of the firm’s EMEA Turnaround and Restructuring practice.
