SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (December 3, 2009) – AlixPartners, the global business advisory firm, announced that Brett Brandenberg and Matthew Rogers joined AlixPartners as directors in its Washington, DC office in the Financial Advisory Services practice.
Brandenberg has more than 14 years of experience serving clients in the areas of dispute analysis, intellectual property valuation, audit and litigation, business valuation, transaction advisory and forensic investigations. His wide range of experience includes patent, copyright and trademark infringement, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, government contracting, purchase price disputes, fraud and economic damages. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was the Practice Leader for RSM McGladrey’s Financial Fraud and Valuation Services Group in St. Louis, Missouri. Preceding his leadership of that group, he managed numerous large engagements for Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP’s Forensic & Dispute Services Practice. He holds an MBA in finance from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Truman State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and Missouri as well as Washington, DC.
Rogers has more than 21 years of experience in accounting and auditing. He specializes in fraud investigations, litigation consulting, accountant liability, and financial accounting and reporting for publicly-owned companies. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he served as Associate Director in the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Division of Enforcement and Investigations in Washington,DC. Prior to that, he was an Associate Chief Accountant in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. His experience also includes external auditing for a Big Four accounting firm and internal auditing for a Dow Jones Industrial company. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of New York.
