Anderson, Stephanie S.

Stephanie Anderson is an experienced financial expert with over twenty years of diverse accounting and financial experience as a forensic accountant, international investment advisor, restructuring consultant and testifying expert in litigation matters.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Stephanie served as a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Advisory Services practice as part of the firm’s Dispute Analysis and Investigations practice. She has been engaged by Audit Committees of publicly traded companies to perform forensic investigations and presented those findings to the Securities & Exchange Commission. She has also investigated alleged asset misappropriation by executives and provided expert witness testimony on commercial fraud matters.

Stephanie’s background and experience have provided her with broad and deep experience in the following issues:

Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and International Accounting Standards (“IAS”) by corporations in a large variety of industries, including consumer products, industrial manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, high-technology, financial services and real estate
Evaluation of internal controls in domestic entities and foreign subsidiaries as well as the reporting of material conditions and/or potential fraud that may exist
Financial due diligence of foreign investment opportunities, including the conversion of financial statements from local accounting standards to US-style presentations
Financial analyses of the projected and historical operating performance of foreign and domestic business and investment opportunities as well as the preparation of financial forecasts and business valuations
Understanding of the investment targeting and due diligence process of multinational corporations involving investments in both new and existing facilities and businesses
Restructuring and turnaround services, including cash flow management as well as preparation and analysis of debt restructuring strategies

Stephanie has lived and worked in Kuwait, Mexico, and Russia, in addition to directing numerous engagements involving international matters while based in the US. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Stephanie is a Certified Public Accountant and is accredited in business valuation by the AICPA. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a BBA degree in accounting from Texas State University, and a Master in Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University.
