Yahya is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions, operational effectiveness, and operational restructuring as well as working capital reduction. His industry expertise includes communications, entertainment, media and advertising driven businesses, automotive, retail and business-to-business distribution.
Yahya works for both corporate clients and the portfolio companies of private equity funds where he has been involved in the design and implementation of several transformation programs aimed at comprehensive and drastic increases of shareholder value.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was the managing director of A.T. Kearney’s Paris Office and a founding member of the private equity consulting practice where he led the team advising the financial sponsors on the largest LBO ever in France (Legrand 2002, € 4.6 B). Before that, he was a partner and vice president in the Milan office of Bain & Co.
His experience includes:
- Operational restructuring of a leading media buying group. The project addressed all business units as well as all cost components and the merger of legal entities leading to a new organization and increase of competitiveness
- Operational restructuring and profit improvement programs for several publishing groups (magazines, newspaper) including portfolio re-alignment
- Working capital reduction of a leading publishing group
- Operational restructuring, sourcing and capital allocation strategy for a major outdoor advertising group
- Distribution network restructuring and dealers refinancing for a leading European car manufacturer
- He led numerous due diligences for major private equity funds and served as program manager to quickly realize the planned improvements after successful acquisitions
Yahya holds a degree from the HEC Graduate School of Management in marketing and industrial economics. He speaks English, French and Italian fluently.
