Sanjay has over 23 years of experience in helping both healthy and under-performing companies to improve their profitability and cash flow position both in an advisory and an interim management capacity.

He specialises in leading Operational improvement programmes across a wide range of functional areas, including Procurement, Working Capital and Customer and Product Profitability improvement. Sanjay has experience of a broad range of industries, including Consumer Goods and Retail, Healthcare and Process Industries. Prior to AlixPartners, Sanjay held senior positions with A.T. Kearney and KPMG in London.

Examples of Sanjay’s diverse range of client experience include:

  • Serving as interim COO of a leading private equity owned Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare company for a period of eight months. Stabilised business operations during a period of extreme uncertainty (forensic investigation of board directors), fixed dysfunctional supply chain, leading to dramatically improved availability and sales uplift and led SG&A efficiency review.
  • Leading several large and complex performance improvement programmes for major Corporates and smaller private equity held companies, including PepsiCo, BP, Cadbury Schweppes, Sara Lee, Northern Foods and others.
  • Leading Working Capital programmes for major corporates such as BP Chemicals (>$600m cashflow improvement)
  • Leading several Pricing and SKU programmes for multiple private equity owned portfolio companies delivering several million pounds of EBITDA improvement

Sanjay is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He holds a BSc(Econ) honors degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the London Business School. Fluent in Hindi.
