Donahue, Lisa J.

Lisa Donahue Co-heads our Turnaround and Restructuring practice.  She specializes in financial and operational reorganizations, an expertise that led to her being named one of New York's "Forty Under Forty" by Crain's New York Business in 2002 and "Woman of the Year" by International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) in May 2007.

Lisa has extensive experience in cash management and cost reduction, negotiation, situational analysis, and debt restructuring for both domestic and international organizations.  Her engagements have been in the oil & gas, consumer package goods, manufacturing, distributing, professional services, energy, apparel, retail and telecom industries.

Over the years, Lisa has been successful as both an interim executive and as a financial advisor.  Her assignments include:
 

  • Restructuring Advisor to the Canadian ULC of AbitibiBowater
  • Financial Advisor to Fair Point Communications
  • Chief Restructuring Officer of SemGroup, L.P., a mid-stream oil & gas and commodity trading company
  • Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Calpine Corp.; an energy company that had $10B in revenue and $18B in debt
  • Chief Executive Officer at New World Pasta; a leading maker of branded dried pasta in the U.S.
  • Chief Financial Officer & Chief Restructuring Officer of Exide Technologies; the world's largest industrial and transportation battery producer and recycler, with operations in 89 countries
  • Financial & Restructuring Advisor to Regal Cinemas, Inc.; the nation's largest theater circuit, with over $1B in revenue $2B+ in debt
  • Chief Restructuring Officer at Graham Field, where she was responsible for both the financial and operational restructuring of this publicly traded durable medical product manufacturer
  • Chief Financial Officer of Umbro International Inc.; a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of soccer and fashion apparel


Lisa is currently a Trustee for the American Red Cross of Greater New York as well as a Board member for InMotion Inc, a New York-based, non-profit organization that provides assistance to victims of domestic abuse.  She is a former member of the Board of the Turnaround Management Association and is a member of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, the Association for Corporate Growth, and sits on the New York Advisory Board for the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Lisa holds a degree in finance and accounting from Florida State University.
