Sean Dowd, a managing director in AlixPartners' Financial Advisory Services group, brings solutions and services to clients with a primary focus on law firms and corporate legal departments. He advises corporate counsel and their outside attorneys in identifying and selecting the right expert or investigative resources relevant to a particular matter, specifically focusing on complex commercial litigation and corporate investigations. He frequently works with corporate executives and attorneys from leading law firms to develop innovative solutions for complex problems, both in domestic and international matters. These have included government enforcement actions; major securities litigation; bankruptcy litigation; international arbitration and situations that call for interim management. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was with Ernst & Young. Sean has spent over 25 years coordinating a wide array of consulting services to clients from Fortune 500 corporations to law firms, across numerous industries including banking, defense, healthcare, insurance, private equity and securities. These services have included litigation support, expert witness testimony, restructuring, valuation, strategy, due diligence, operational and financial improvement. Sean holds a B.A. in political science from Providence College in Providence, R.I. He is currently on the board of directors of the European American Chamber of Commerce
