Falter, Wolfgang

Wolfgang specializes in improving performance of chemical, petrochemical, oil and chemical distribution companies. His combination of chemical industry and management consulting expertise has taken him around the world, working for ambitious managers as well as for strategic or financial owners of leading companies.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Wolfgang spent 15 years with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he was an equity partner and leader of the global chemicals and oil practice. He created this practice and successfully developed it internationally, not only in Western Europe, but also in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Before that, he served as an application technology manager for the beverage industry at Henkel.

Wolfgang has a dual background and holds a Ph.D. in chemistry as well as an MBA in business administration. He studied chemistry in Germany (RWTH, Aachen) and the United States (University of Kansas, Lawrence) and business administration in France (INSEAD, Fontainebleau) and the United States (Harvard Business School, Cambridge). At INSEAD he is a board member for strategy and projects of the International Alumni Association.
