Faure, Francois

François has 28 years experience in strategy and finance, including French State industrial policy, export finance, asset based financing, mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity financing, valuation, debt renegotiation and stressed/distressed financial restructuring.

 

Prior to joining AlixPartners, he created and developed the French activities of Houlihan Lokey and co-led their Financial Restructuring Practice in Europe. Prior to this he was running the M&A practice of Deutsche Bank.  Prior to that, he held various positions with Bankers Trust, Lehman Brothers, Wasserstein Perella, Indosuez, Credit National, and the French Department of Industry.

 

Examples of his experience include:

  • Advising the French State for the restructuring of Eurotunnel, CPI for its debt renegotiation with a group of international  investors, advising  the ad hoc Senior Creditors Committee of Eurodisney, and a Committee of OCEANE Holders for Bull, and a Committee of Bondholders on GAL.
  • Advising EDF on the acquisition of EnBW, SWEB, SeeBoard and Montedison. Advising SNCF for the setting up, joint venturing and subsequent sale of its Telecom subsidiary, advising Groupe Suez for a series of Bond  issues and strategic acquisitions. Advising American Express for the acquisition and subsequent  reorganization of Havas Voyage. Rendering an Attestation d’Equité for the merger of Euronext and NYSE.

 

François is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and a member of the “Corps des Ponts et Chaussées”.  He speaks English and French fluently.
