Fox, Brian J.

Brian is a restructuring professional with 20 years of experience. He has advised companies and other parties involved in debt restructuring transactions in the development and analysis of strategic and operating plans, valuation and debt capacity, sourcing and structuring of alternative financing, and the development, structuring and negotiation of debt restructuring alternatives. He has experience both in court supervised and informal restructuring transactions across the capital structure, including, senior bank lenders, bond holders, and creditors committees. He has worked in multiple industries, including retail, manufacturing, apparel, aerospace and defense, consumer products and distribution businesses.

Recent transactions where Brian has played a lead role include:

  • Currently assisting a privately held manufacturer of recycled paper products to identify a series of performance enhancement programs.
  • Acted as the restructuring advisor to Xerium Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:XRM) in the restructuring of its $625 million multi-currency credit facilities. Transaction provided full recoveries to creditors and value to existing shareholders. Following the consummation of the transaction, acted as interim Chief Financial Officer following the departure of the existing CFO.
  • Advised the senior secured note holders of Milacron, Inc. with respect to the structuring of a DIP financing and the purchase of substantially all of the assets of the company through a sale pursuant to section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Advised a $700 million manufacturer of children’s apparel on the restructuring of $325 million of bank credit facilities.
  • Assisted American Color Graphics in its merger, which was accomplished through a prepackaged bankruptcy filing. AlixPartners was primarily responsible for the company’s cash management during this process to ensure that there was adequate liquidity through the process.


Brian holds a BBA in accounting from Hofstra University and an MBA in finance from Fordham University.
