Morrow, Thomas A.

Tom has spent more than 20 years helping companies solve financial and strategic challenges. At AlixPartners, his work has focused on helping companies improve profitability through better management of their cash flow, cost structure and human resources. He provides expertise in financial, operational and business analysis; loan workouts and restructurings; and creditor negotiations.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Tom was with Wendy’s International where he was responsible for franchisee restructurings.

Tom has worked in a wide variety of successful engagements with AlixPartners. Illustrative assignments include:

  • Financial advisor to BHM Technologies ($400 million tier 1/tier 2 automotive supplier) during its pre-negotiated bankruptcy
  • Financial advisor to the secured lender to Pacific Lumber, a redwood forestry company
  • Financial advisor to Dura Corporation ($2.1 billion tier 1 automotive supplier) during its bankruptcy
  • Financial advisor to Dana Corporation ($7 billion tier 1 auto supplier) on vendor management issues
  • Chief Restructuring Officer for Core-Mark International, a $5 billion distributor to convenience stores
  • Financial advisor to Kmart in its restructuring


Tom holds a BBA with distinction from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a Certified Turnaround Professional. He serves on the board of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, the advisory board for the ABI Central States Workshop, and as co-chair of the ABI professional compensation committee. Tom is a frequent speaker on restructuring topics and has published several articles in the ABI Journal.
