Prior to joining AlixPartners, Heike Munro was Co-Head Debt-Advisory and Restructuring Germany at Rothschild where she led transactions in Germany and other European countries and advised companies, owners and other stakeholders.
Heike Munro has more than 20 years of professional experience in London and Germany. Roles include Head of Germany and Head of European Financing (Distressed Products Group) at Deutsche Bank London where she was responsible for investments in Germany and for financings in Europe.
She was Executive Director (European Special Situations Group) at Goldman Sachs London and started her career in Corporate Finance at Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.
Heike’s core competencies are corporate finance (especially M&A, distressed M&A, valuations and business plan evaluations) and financial transactions (debt financing, recapitalizations, stakeholder management/negotiations and mediation et al).
She has covered the whole spectrum from being an investor, a company owner and an advisor to different stakeholders (eg companies, investors such as private equity houses and other financial investors such as hedge funds and asset managers plus strategic investors and creditors) in a wide variety of industries (including retail, furniture manufacturing etc). Heike was instrumental in the majority of public capital structure realignments in Germany. She has extensive experience negotiating with different stakeholders as well as being a mediator in stakeholder discussions.
In addition, Heike has sourced, structured, invested and marketed some of the most innovative financing structures for companies in turnaround situations.

Heike has a broad background: She studied business administration, is an advertising expert , worked in marketing and is a qualified chartered accountant. In 2008, she received the "Generation CEO" award.
