Samuelson, Nord E.

Nord has 25 years of strategy consulting, technology consulting and technology implementation expertise.  Prior to joining AlixPartners, Nord was a Managing Director at the Palladium Group, the leading Strategy Execution and Balanced Scorecard firm where he led the Information Services and Enterprise Performance Management practice.  Before the Palladium Group, Nord held a number of executive roles at software and services companies focused on business and technology process transformation.  Nord started his career with Monitor Company where he worked for ten years as a strategy consultant and leader of the decision support practice.

  • Led numerous IT transformation projects for a range of companies and industries including energy, retail, information services and financial services.  Nord’s work has focused on moving IT from a pure support and cost-focused role into a value-based role that substantially improves overall corporate value.  Results dramatically improved throughput and decision making across project portfolio and within project initiatives.
  • Process transformation and project recovery work for major ERP, process transformation, and custom technology development initiatives using leading edge processes including Agile Methods.
  • Responsible for over 40 successful technology-enabled process redesign initiatives within Fortune 500—all resulting in millions of dollars of savings.
  • Design, development, and implementation of numerous decision support and BI systems that have helped to implement strategic plans and identify major value opportunities in product and process costing and planning.

Nord holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Bowdoin College and worked closely under the tutelage of Professor Otto Scharmer of MIT in the area of change management.  Nord is a speaker on performance management, organizational agility, and business process design, including procure-to-pay and shared services processes, and process transformation approaches.
