Adam has over 18 years of experience in management consulting as well as in industry. He has a distinctive track record of companies in the Food and Beverage and other related industries like Restaurants (QSR, Casual and Fine Dining), Foodservice, and Consumer Packaged Goods substantially improve operational performance and drive lower costs.

His functional expertise includes procurement cost reduction, supply chain management, lean production, technical cost reduction, broad transformational change management As part of Adam’s work, he has held several interim leadership positions and led many large complex international assignments.

Examples of his client experience include:

  • Led comprehensive cost reduction effort at ~1,200 store casual dining chain. Effort focusing on restructuring/creating supplier contracts for food, beverage and non-foods, reducing logistics costs, and driving lower labor and indirect costs. Results totaled $75MM in benefits with improved risk management positions in key commodities like beef, seafood and dairy
  • Restructured top supplier contracts for a 100 store steak chain located in Korea. Results averaged 20% in benefits
  • Drove several procurement and supply chain cost reduction initiatives for an $18Bn foodservice distributor in the mist of an operational turnaround. Emphasis included contract restructuring, inventory and logistics improvements. Effort included interim management positions as well as revamping $2Bn protein buying function to optimize costs and reduce risk exposure
  • Created and rolled out annual procurement plan for privately held food producer with initial results totaling $10MM in cost reductions through year one. Areas of focus included both perishablable and non-persishable foods and packaging
  • Redesigned and implemented a new Sales and Operations Planning process for a consumer foods company
  • Formulated production and supply chain strategy for largest US winery reconfiguring manufacturing assets and business processes to support increased volume. Results included annual reductions of $30MM+ and a 25% capacity increase
  • Performed several due diligence and operational improvement assessments for restaurants, food and beverage manufacturers


Prior to joining AlixPartners, Adam was a Principal at A.T. Kearney. In addition, he has held supply chain and engineering management positions within the automotive and consumer products industries. Adam holds both a B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
