Robert has extensive experience in many areas of dispute resolution, accounting and auditing, consulting and valuation.  He has served as an expert witness in diverse matters, concentrating mainly in intellectual property, and in a wide variety of industries, including software and high technology, manufacturing, medical devices, aviation related products, etc.  He has also provided consultation regarding licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting and auditing standards.

He previously served as the national director of the intellectual property practice at a large international economic, accounting and financial consulting firm.  He has also served as a partner in charge, senior audit partner and managing director at Big Four accounting firms. 

Robert has provided consultation and acted as a testifying expert in numerous patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright matters for both plaintiffs and defendants.  He has testified in U.S. District and State courts as well as before tribunal panels, both domestically and internationally.  He was the expert for the plaintiff in an energy related patent infringement matter in which the jury awarded the largest damage award of the year.  He was also the expert for the defendant in an aviation related patent infringement matter in which claimed damages of nearly $4 Billion were, for the most part, excluded by the Court.

Robert has assisted companies in determining appropriate licensing terms, valuation of  entities and their intellectual property, and  due diligence in connection with proposed acquisitions.  He has also conducted forensic investigations of U.S. and international entities.  Additionally, he has testified as to damages in contractual, franchise, post acquisition, antitrust, aviation and pharmaceutical matters.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Biology from the City University of New York.  He also attended graduate school, concentrating in accounting and finance, at the City University and Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Greater Washington and New York Society of CPAs.  He was a participant in the President’s Executive Exchange program, was appointed by the Governor of Maryland to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Citizens Advisory Committee and has been a Board chair and member of numerous not for profit organizations. Robert can be reached at +1 (202) 756-9041.
