What you’ll do

Specifically, in your role within the Digital Solutions team at AlixPartners, you will help Client organizations take on their complex business problems with an analytical, data-driven approach. You will gain exposure to diverse set of industries, clients, and project roles. You will help define the business objectives, conduct client interviews, assess performance and effectiveness, and design analysis and/or build predictive and prescriptive models and be challenged to then present the business case for the value of these models to your client. Some examples of past work include predicting store performance for retailers, customer retention for telecoms, cross-selling opportunities for banks, hotel occupancy for the hospitality industry, Sales and Marketing Effectiveness for Technology companies, sales and operations planning tools for Industrial and Automotive, distribution and transportation optimization for process industries as well as improving speed to market for product development across Industries.

Job Specific Information:

In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your business experience, Sales & Marketing expertise, problem solving skills and analytics skillset to drive both revenue and cost improvements for your clients in ‘high stakes’ situations. The Digital Revenue & Growth team strives to help clients in both B2C and B2B industries on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. You’ll bridge marketing expertise, industry knowledge, and quantitative consulting approaches to guide our clients in defining and refining their Sales and Marketing operations to drive EBITDA improvements.

Some examples of past work include marketing spend effectiveness enhancement for Media Mix Modeling and customer retention strategies for retailers, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for banks, telecoms, and technology companies as well as Marketing organizational redesign for a variety of clients.

What you’ll need

Ideal Candidate qualifications:

  • Industries and Services
    • Recognized for deep skills and expertise within the Marketing realm. The ideal candidate is a specialist and leader within one or more of the following areas:
      • Marketing strategy development
      • Testing strategy and execution
      • Marketing reporting and KPI frameworks
      • Customer lifetime value (CLV)
      • Digital media optimization
      • Marketing mix modeling (MMM)
      • Multi-touch attribution (MTA)
      • Marketing vendor/agency assessment and negotiation
      • Marketing organization development and management
    • Industry specialization is not required, but the ideal candidate will have experience in at least 1-2 of the following industries: technology, media, telecom, financial services, education, retail, automotive, consumer products.
  • Client Delivery
    • Consistent track record of successfully structuring and leading client engagements to desired outcomes and delivering hard dollar savings and growth results. A proven history of meeting or exceeding client expectations.
    • Ability to understand and adapt to complex client environments and situations.
    • Superb written communication skills.
    • History of independently preparing client-ready documents and presentations.
  • Analytics and problem solving
    • Views problems from the 'big picture POV', recognizing critical areas to drive into more detail. Quickly structures approaches to solve complex problems. Remains balanced and flexible, changing direction as necessary.
    • Synthesizes information rapidly and applies good business judgment quickly to deliver deep insights into possible impacts and solutions.
    • Analytical and adept at quickly defining, aligning, and scaling data modeling and management approach with the client needs. Adopts 80/20 approach to rapidly draw conclusions. Skilled at quickly identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, errors, and conclusions.
  • Leadership and executive experience
    • Engenders client confidence and trust with executives at all levels. Builds advisory relationships with clients and peers.
    • Skilled at defining, communicating, motivating, and leading change at executive levels and across organizations.
    • Articulate, persuasive communicator. Commands the room, handles executive and difficult audiences well. Readily adapts style and message appropriately to audience and circumstance. Excellent at impromptu communication during complex discussions.
  • Business and Practice Development
    • Experience with proposal development, strong commercial instincts, and interests. Generates growing demand for other firm resources in prospective and existing clients while remaining highly utilized. Able to identify and execute on opportunities build new business and extend existing engagements.
    • An inspiring leader, innovative with the development of new tools, methodologies, and approaches.
    • Experience in building talent through coaching, recruiting and day-to-day leadership.

Work & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, mathematics, statistics, or foreign equivalent. Master's degree and/or certification in related specialty area(s) preferred.
  • 8+ years of business experience or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a professional services / consulting or agency environment preferred.
  • Experience as a leader within a Marketing organization (CMO, or regular exposure to CMO) or a Marketing agency team.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
