¡Viva la cultura! AlixPartners celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15 marked the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. The celebration, which runs through October 15, honors the culture and traditions of people who trace their origins to the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. During this month, we are celebrating Hispanic/Latino heritage through festivities that highlight the richness and history of our cultures, as well as the contributions to our communities and our roles at AlixPartners.
Festivities across the firm
Led by the Hispanics or Latinos of AlixPartners (HOLA) ERG, our firm is celebrating the influence that Hispanics have had on American history with events across several offices:
- New York – September 14
- Dallas – September 15
- Houston – September 21
- Washington, DC – October 5
- Buenos Aires – October 5
- Chicago – October 6
- London – October 13
These events offer our employees an opportunity to learn more about Hispanic culture and the community’s many contributions.View more photos
Meet the real HOLA members
This celebration of diversity gives us all the opportunity to learn more about each other.
We invite you to read and share the stories of a few of our colleagues who are members of the HOLA ERG:
Interactive Q&A panel with Global Kids
Accompanying the festivities of Hispanic Heritage Month, HOLA had the pleasure of hosting the Global Kids organization in an interactive Q&A panel session held during the New York office event.
As part of the panel session, attendees were informed of Global Kids’ social mission and the panelists shared with the group many inspirational experiences they've had as members of the organization.
AlixPartners is proudly sponsoring the 2017 Global Kids 5K Run/Walk/Push to support their college and career readiness program, on October 14th.Learn more about the 2017 Global Kids 5K
HOLA initiative: natural disaster relief
As part of advancing our mission, we wanted to call everyone's attention to recent events in Mexico and Puerto Rico, which have been struck by powerful natural disasters.
There is a great need for funds to help relieve the current situation and buy the necessary supplies to keep the operations running. If you would like to help the victims, below is a list of international organizations that are providing aid and accepting donations.
- Save the Children. Facebook is helping to support people affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria by matching up to $1 million in donations to Save the Children.
Thank you for any donation you may give to support those affected by the natural disasters in Mexico and Puerto Rico.
