School Justice Project annual fundraiser

June 1, 2019

AlixPartners is proud to continue its partnership with School Justice Project (SJP), a legal services and advocacy organization in Washington, DC. SJP, co-founded by Sarah Comeau and Claire Blumenson, in 2013, is committed to serving older students with special education needs involved in DC's justice systems. Sharing in that sense of commitment, AlixPartners has provided SJP with fundraising and data analysis support since 2014.

In June of this year, AlixPartners hosted its 5th annual fundraiser for SJP. SJP's mission is to ensure that students with special education needs in the DC criminal justice system have access to quality education. SJP upholds this mission by providing free legal representation and legal training for its clients and through community outreach and advocacy programs.

More than 100 people attended this year's event helping to raise over $81,000. AlixPartners has helped SJP raise nearly $265,000 since our partnership began in 2014!

“The steadfast commitment from AlixPartners allows SJP to protect and enforce special education rights for more students in need each year. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.”

During the event, AlixPartners was honored to receive SJP's Access to Education Award in recognition of our contributions to the organization over the last five years.

Special thanks to all those who contributed and to Mayer Brown for providing the venue space.
