Press Release

AlixPartners helping our Houston friends and colleagues

September 13, 2017

When we opened our Houston office one year ago, we made it our mission to fully embrace the city and all of its communities. While the office might be new, we have long supported our Houston-based clients and people, and we won’t stop now. All of our employees and their families are safe, but Hurricane Harvey caused some to suffer damage to homes and property. As a firm, we are committed to making an impact when it really matters, and now is that time.

After consulting with our Houston colleagues, and gaining an understanding of the local needs and, in particular, the needs of some of our colleagues and clients who have suffered losses, AlixPartners has decided to focus our support on two organizations who are providing essential aid to recovery efforts:

Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Team Rubicon worked closely with our client Academy Sports and Outdoors, who provided a staging area for rescues and shelter and food for first responders and the National Guard.

The American Red Cross - Texas Gulf Coast Region provides life-saving services to more than 9 million people in cities such as Corpus Christi, Beaumont, Galveston and Houston, all of which have been impacted by the storm.

AlixPartners will match our employees’ contributions to either of these organizations up to $50,000 total. We’re proud of our presence in Houston and the work our people have done to help so far. We remain committed to supporting the community in any way possible as the city rebuilds.
