MILAN – This year began with a commitment to LGBT Diversity & Inclusion by AlixPartners Italia, the global consulting firm as AlixPartners joined Parks – Liberi e Uguali, a non-profit organization founded to help member companies understand and optimize the business potential linked to the development of strategies and conducts respectful of diversity for LGBT working people.
Joining Parks – Liberi e Uguali is an important chance for AlixPartners Italia to develop synergies and relationships with the other members, pursue training to raise awareness about LGBT people’s diversity and inclusion in workplace. This will help share value, experiences, challenges and success with the network of important member companies whose common mission is building workplaces where diversity and inclusion are a main competitive advantage.
AlixPartners’ membership in Parks – Liberi e Uguali is aligned with its global objective around diversity and inclusion in all the offices where it operates. Last year, several goals were reached including working with affiliate companies like Parks and the equalization of heterosexual and homosexual couples’ benefits throughout AlixPartners.
Earlier this year, AlixPartners has - for the second year in a row - earned a perfect score of 100% on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) created by the American association Human Rights Campaign (HRC). This score ranks AlixPartners among the HRC’s 2019 “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” the Corporate Equality Index is an American benchmarking survey that evaluates the LGBTQ-related corporate policies and practices of more than 1,000 companies, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
AlixPartners’ commitment for 2019 is to integrate the D&I values in all business processes, fostering diversity in teams, investing more in an inclusive culture and guaranteeing responsible behavior.
“We firmly believe in diversity and inclusion values and we work every day to make AlixPartners all over the world an open and modern workplace, where everybody can be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity” is the comment by Giacomo Cantù, Managing Director, Co-lead, tech, Media & Telecom, PrideMatters Executive Sponsor.
“We are very proud to belong to Parks’ enlarged family. This membership inserts itself in the wide Diversity & Inclusion strategy that AlixPartners has pursued over years. We are deeply convinced that people perform at best at work when they feel happy and free to express themselves” Paolo Rinaldini, AlixPartners’ Market Leader in Italy, commented.
“AlixPartners proves a real commitment towards its LGBT colleagues and in the construction of respectful and inclusive workplaces. We are proud that our virtuous employers’ network has reinforced itself with the entry of AlixPartners, a consulting firm that will surely add value in the journey towards the inclusion of all differences, including the most stigmatized.” Igor Suran, Executive Director of Parks – Liberi e Uguali, stated.

About Parks – Liberi e Uguali
Parks – Liberi e Uguali is a non-profit making organization, whose members are exclusively employers, created with the aim of helping partner companies to understand and attain maximum business opportunities deriving from the development of strategies and good practices that respect diversity. At Parks we believe that inclusion and respect can only really make a difference when they encompass everybody. That is why we adopted as our mission a precise and prevalent focus on that area of Diversity Management which is culturally most demanding, that is to say the part related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
