Consumer industries expert Karl Nader joins AlixPartners as a Managing Director

NEW YORK (Oct. 23, 2018) - AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, announced today that retail and consumer expert Karl Nader has joined as a Managing Director based in the firm’s Dubai office. He is the third recent Managing Director to join in the Gulf region following the arrivals of financial services expert Pierre Mariani and Local Market Leader Gabriel Chahine.

Karl brings extensive retail and consumer expertise gained over 18 years in management consulting. He has significant experience in the Middle East, having advised multinational and regional companies as well as private equity investors operating across the region. During this time, he has assisted executives throughout the value chain, including FMCG manufacturers and retailers serving the grocery, apparel, consumer electronics, and specialty sectors. Karl has a proven track record in revenue growth, as well as operational excellence and transformation programs. Additionally, he has supported clients with new market entry, acquisition strategy, and IPOs.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Karl was a partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), a division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 13 years from 2005. Karl began his career in 2000 with a London-based boutique consulting business subsequently joining Accenture in 2002.

Holding dual Greek and Lebanese citizenship, Karl fluently speaks Arabic, English, French, and Greek. He graduated from the University of Warwick in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, operational research, statistics, and economics. In 2000, Karl was awarded a first-class master’s degree in operational research from the University of Lancaster.
