AlixPartners Named a “Top Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality”

January 30, 2020

Earns 100% score on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Annual Scorecard on LGBTQ Workplace Equality

NEW YORK (January 30, 2020)— AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, today announced that for the third year in a row it has earned a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI), ranking AlixPartners among the HRC’s 2020 “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

CEI is a national benchmarking survey that evaluates the LGBTQ-related corporate policies and practices of more than 1,000 companies, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. As an employer who received a perfect score, AlixPartners continues to be among the ranks of companies who satisfy all of the CEI’s criteria and receive the designation “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

“We are proud to be recognized again as a best place to work for LGBTQ equality. This recognition reflects our belief that having an inclusive and diverse work environment where we can all thrive is critical to our overall success,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “Our dedicated and forward-looking members and allies of PrideMatters, our LGBTQ employee resource group, create and continuously improve policies and programs that support this goal. As an example of their work, in 2019 we implemented official gender transition guidelines.”

“The HRC CEI is a helpful guide when reviewing our policies, benefits and other business practices. It allows us to have a closer look at how to integrate LGBTQ understanding,” said Filip Nemeth, a Senior Vice President at AlixPartners and PrideMatters Leader. “Our perfect score is a result of ongoing work to create an environment where every employee feels valued and a strong sense of belonging.”

Inclusion and diversity are fundamental to AlixPartners’ core values. In addition to the policies and procedures reviewed by HRC, AlixPartners has created the opportunity for team members from across the firm’s international footprint to participate in Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to help foster an inclusive and diverse workplace that aligns with AlixPartners’ mission and core values. ERGs provide an official platform for learning and leadership development and cross-cultural business integration. Today, more than 54% of employees participate in our ERGs.
