Thijn uses applied analytics solutions on big data to drive smarter operational decisions. He was a published research scientist with a decade of experience in the field of biotechnology combining the fields of applied physics, chemistry, and biology to probe, model, describe, and exploit biological systems at the molecular level. Furthermore, he collaborated in projects involving the fabrication of inorganic, e.g. silicon, micro- and nanoscale sensors. Moreover, he was cofounder of two agricultural businesses based in Europe and Canada focusing on the production of fur and apples using innovative techniques. He holds a Master of Science and a PhD in applied physics from Delft University of Technology.
