Alexa Angotti Dineen’s got her hand on the pulse of everything that’s going on.

As the mother of four young boys, she has to.

“I’m the fixer, the problem solver and the ‘Manager of Chaos’,” Alexa said. “Every day is so different with my kids, and I absolutely love it.”

That chaos, Alexa mentioned, doesn’t stop at home.

A Partner at AlixPartners, Alexa serves as a “catch all” for all things Risk Advisory. She is a strategist who drives growth for our people, practices and the firm, oversees day-to-day operations and serves as support to various colleagues. Since joining the firm as an Associate in 2013, she’s helped build the practice into what it is today.

“I have meaningful and trusted relationships across the firm that provide me with a line of sight beyond the borders of Risk. When I see an opportunity for improvement or learn about best practices other teams deploy, I want all of us to take note and apply them," Alexa said.

That kind of foresight sparked her steady rise at the firm. And while Alexa enjoyed her evolving roles and greater responsibilities at the firm, she desired one that was more permanent–Mom.

But she, and her husband Sean, ran into some issues. So, Alexa looked into AlixPartners’ family planning benefits and took advantage of the firm’s allowance for fertility treatments.

“I was relieved to find that the firm supported aspiring parents in that way. It made me proud to work at AlixPartners,” Alexa said. “It demonstrated the firm’s commitment to its people and core values, reinforcing that I had joined the place that it promised to be.”

With the help of the firm’s benefits package, Alexa welcomed her first son, Paddy, in March 2019. This experience changed her life forever, both personally and professionally.

“When I came back [from maternity leave], parenthood activated something in me. I wanted to pay it forward,” Alexa said.

Alexa helped expand a firm-wide breastmilk shipping program for AlixPartners employees and their partners. The program provides traveling and nursing parents with hospital-grade nursing pumps in several AlixPartners U.S. offices and pays for the cost of a milk shipments to their child.

Two years later, while pregnant with her second child Conor, she was instrumental in integrating two acquisitions for the Risk practice and assisted with the strategic reorganization of the firm.

In 2022, Alexa joined the firm’s New Parent Buddy program, which allows any new parent to connect and receive mentorship from a colleague. Alexa frequently works with new parents and serves as a support system during their reassimilation to the firm.

“We wanted to make sure that parents were paired with someone who had a similar mindset and could really set them up for success,” Alexa said. “My parenting experience is not the same as anyone else’s, but trying to match people who were as similarly positioned as possible is important.”

If that wasn’t enough, Alexa joined the Caregivers and Parents ERG Leadership team as its Americas Operations Lead in 2023. That same year, she had her third son, Shane.

Upon her return in 2024, Alexa started the Risk Americas Mom’s Circle with the hopes of building community and retaining top women talent at the firm. She also partnered with the Risk People Team to develop and execute new Parental Leave Check-In processes that better supported colleagues, a program that is now being adopted by other teams at the firm. To round out the year, she found out she was pregnant with Baby #4.

But before Rory’s birth, Alexa made sure she went out with a bang.

After being promoted to Partner at the beginning of 2025, Alexa not only helped the firm’s U.S. offices host their inaugural Take Your Child to Work Day but also played an instrumental role in the development and rollout of the firm’s expanded parental benefits.

The enhancements include: an increased lifetime maximum of $60,000 for fertility/infertility treatments, surrogacy and adoption expenses, 100% paid birth-related medical leave (up to 8 weeks), 12 weeks of child bonding leave paid at 100% of base salary and back-up care reimbursement of $1,000 annually.

“With this new rollout, I got to be part of something bigger than myself,” Alexa said. “I got to advocate for and be a part of the change that I wanted to see. I know first-hand the profound impact that these benefits can have on someone’s life.”

While she doesn’t subscribe to the belief that you can have it all, Alexa does believe that you can have what you want. And for her, that answer was simple.

“I choose what’s most important to me and make sacrifices in certain areas. Some days I feel like I’m able to juggle it all, and some days I don’t. For me it’s always been about my family, and everything else will fall into place,” Alexa said.
