The Investigations, Disputes & Risk (IDR) practice provides independent and objective critical thinking to help companies and their stakeholders address high-stakes disputes, remediations and investigations.  Our clients include an array of organisations and their legal counsel, who turn to us for assistance with expert testimony, valuation models, and financial and economic analyses. AlixPartners has assembled a team of highly talented analytics experts to support a range of blue-chip clients in their use of data when facing business, legal and regulatory challenges.

This expert team is responsible for a wide variety of high impact, high stakes work undertaking data intensive fraud investigations, remediation and regulatory driven analytics.

What you’ll do

An opportunity has become available for a Consultant to join our IDR Digital team in London, forming part of our IDR practice. The team is made up of a wide range of analytics experts with impressive expertise and track records. We are looking for intelligent, pragmatic and results-focused individuals who can operate on a wide range of local and international engagements

  • You will be working with complex data sets (financial, operational and otherwise) producing fundamental results to be used by board level executives, business, leaders and lawyers in courts and tribunals.
  • You will be involved in the design, build and management of data models to solve complex business problems and will work directly with passionate, creative and technically sound colleagues and clients to leverage true value from these data models.
  • You will not only develop and build key tools for client delivery but will interface and liaise directly with our client and consultant group positioning and presenting yourself as the true expert. You and your stakeholder management are part of the solution.

What you’ll need

  • An undergraduate degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering or other quantitative subject;
  • A post graduate degree in business or accounting; or
  • A chartered accountancy qualification;
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise;
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment.
  • Relevant experience working in a professional business environment such as another consultancy with experience in audit, programming, analytics, forensic accounting or similar.
  • Enjoy the challenge of forensic investigations and high-profile disputes.
  • Are passionate about technology and analytics and have deep practical knowledge and experience of using SQL and Python (or other scripting languages), and are competent in the usage of data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Have the skills to own the delivery of sophisticated and innovative solutions, that have been appropriately tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Are keen to maintain an awareness of recent technological developments.
  • Possess business acumen and can deliver consistently with minimal oversight.
  • Are persistent, hardworking and flexible.
  • Combine a level of technical savvy, consultancy skills and commercial acumen with client facing ability.
