We solve the most critical challenges
Each of our projects is different, but they have one thing in common: A need for decisive, informed, and often urgent action.

Four corporate restructuring matters of AlixPartners were recognized by prestigious Turnaround Management Association awards in 2020. Each highlights the value of using turnaround tactics to recover from or take advantage of economic disruption. For 40 years, AlixPartners has been helping clients manage disruption successfully, as a growth strategy or a corporate turnaround.

Your cultural heritage is valued here
"AlixPartners is a very selective firm in hiring, which is correct and appropriate. But I know for a fact that it scares a lot of Hispanics and Latinxs who have different backgrounds than is typically associated with careers in consulting. I say to candidates, 'I am Hispanic, of Latinx descent, and because of your cultural background, you’re bringing a completely different perspective and cultural experience that our clients love and we value as a firm.' I hope it helps candidates see that their background is an asset to them and our firm."

Role models help challenge stereotyping
Often even unknowingly, role models can help challenge people’s internalized assumptions and help them see that what’s ‘normal’ to them may not be ‘normal’ for others.
“It can sometimes seem difficult and challenging to be a professional woman. I look around AlixPartners and see so many top-performing women at all levels and it is inspiring,” said Catherine Ruster who heads the ethics and compliance program at AlixPartners.
In many workplaces, it’s partly owing to expectations—the unconscious bias that leads people to think you don’t look like the kind of person we promote here, she said. “It’s a complicated issue. But often it’s not in the overt issues, but in the things people don’t see or even recognize.”
—Catherine Ruster, Director, Head of Ethics and Compliance

Gaining industry experience
I am grateful for the opportunities that I had to stay connected to colleagues and to the firm during my time as an AlixAlumnus.
"I recently became an AlixPartners “'boomerang' employee as I have returned to work for the firm after spending two years in the automotive industry. Attending firm events, including AlixAlumni events, helped me to stay up-to-date on firm news and connected to my Paris office colleagues.
"When I was ready for the next step in my career, I looked back to AlixPartners to find the challenging yet fulfilling work that will push me forward in my professional journey."
—JEAN-NOEL TRUCHET, DIRECTOR, PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT, PARIS OFFICE
Flexible work opportunity
"I previously worked at various well-known firms as a forensic accountant. I was either assigned to client work by a Resource Manager who would match availability to project need or a lead partner who would pick team members based on their own references.
"I now have a new career as a Strategic Staffing Manager at AlixPartners and we have a very different approach. I take a rounded view of each consultant, working with them and project leaders to build appropriate project teams.
"It is not just a question of availability or favorites, it is about considering career goals, development needs and personal circumstances. I’m also in a unique position where I can work with our People Team to develop individual and collective training, which really supports an individual's progress. Having experienced what life can be like for aspiring professionals, I really believe that supporting our people in this way is an approach that makes a big difference in the long run."
