AlixPartners to sponsor Pride and Prejudice Summit, Economist event in London, New York, and Hong Kong to explore diversity and inclusion as a business priority

March 9, 2017

AlixPartners, the global advisory firm, is pleased to be a global supporter of the Pride and Prejudice Summit, being hosted by The Economist on March 23 in New York, London, and Hong Kong. Members of AlixPartners will be participating in the event in each city.

This is the second Pride and Prejudice Summit produced by The Economist. The event aims to catalyze a fresh global discussion on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) diversity and inclusion, particularly focusing on the economics and business costs of LGBT discrimination and the profitable opportunities that lie in overcoming it. The events will look at regional issues as well tackle global problems and stress how companies can and should lead the way in addressing discrimination.

"Promoting diversity in the work place is critical to our success,” said Holly Etlin, managing director at AlixPartners and leader of the firm’s task force on diversity. “Attracting and nurturing LBGT and all diverse talent brings different perspectives that are essential to our ability to solve problems and put together high performance teams for our clients.”

“We are thrilled to be involved in this important effort, which will elevate the discussion on what is needed to raise the bar for LGBT rights and inclusion in business,” said Rob Butler, co-leader of PrideMatters, AlixPartners LGBTQ Employee Resource Group. “We look forward to being part of the discussion with some of the world’s leading companies about the ways in which inclusion makes for stronger and more successful business.”

Attendees and speakers at this year’s event come from such major corporations as Goldman Sachs, Anheuser-Busch, Fidelity Investments, and Shell. For more information on the event, visit prideandprejudice.economist.com.
