(April 11, 2016) – AlixPartners announced today that Emily Harte has been named a Rising Star in the client service category by Consulting Magazine. She will be honored at an awards dinner at the W Chicago City Center on April 14. Emily is a Director based in the Chicago office.

Emily manages highly technical work, balancing project management, communication, and presentation skills with her award-winning client service. In addition to delivering great client work, Emily is active in AlixPartners’ recruiting, teambuilding, and practice development efforts.

In her most recent engagement, Emily took a lead role in analyzing an energy company’s SG&A cost structure to evaluate past actions, examine its spending versus comparable benchmarks, and discern potential cost reductions. She also assisted in an asset sale effort which became the preferred route of the restructuring process.

On another recent engagement, Emily built a cash flow and forecasting model for her Fortune 50 client and transitioned it over to their staff. She developed a cash forecast for a multibillion-dollar division that was fully integrated within the company’s operations and financial system. The public company, which had not been able to build such a complex and comprehensive model in-house, was not only very pleased with Emily’s work, but also recognized her technical and leadership skills.

Emily joined AlixPartners in 2014 as a Vice President and was promoted to Director in January 2016. She joined AlixPartners from Conway MacKenzie, where she was a director in the corporate restructuring practice. Prior to that, Emily spent four years at Deloitte Consulting, most recently as a senior consultant. She is a founding board member of the Turnaround Underground in Chicago, a professional networking organization for mid-level restructuring professionals.

Emily earned a bachelor of science in finance with honors from the University of Illinois. She earned an MBA at the University of Chicago and remains active in their alumni association.
