Juan C. Leuchter is a Director in AlixPartners’ Turnaround & Restructuring practice with more than 12 years of experience advising underperforming and distressed companies on business transformation, liquidity management, and financial restructuring.

He has deep expertise in complex, cross-border turnarounds, including working capital optimization, cash flow forecasting, contingency planning, and operational improvement. Juan is known for his collaborative leadership style, ability to build trust across stakeholders, and drive for delivering sustainable, high-impact outcomes.

His industry experience spans financial services, energy, utilities, media, transportation, and business services. He is currently leading the restructuring of one of Mexico’s largest non-bank financial institutions, supporting efforts across liquidity stabilization, business plan development, and execution after successful insolvency proceedings.

Prior to joining AlixPartners, Juan worked at Alvarez & Marsal in London and Mexico City, where he advised clients across Europe and Latin America on financial and operational challenges.

He holds a master’s degree in Finance from Bayes Business School in London and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Juan is also passionate about sustainable finance and the evolving role of ESG in shaping resilient, long-term business performance. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, calisthenics, and exploring the intersection of curiosity, culture, and personal growth.
