With 27 years experience in automotive and consulting industry, Qian brings extensive experience in company transformation and end-to-end enterprise operation improvement, including M&A, smart manufacturing, supply chain improvement, product life-cycle management, and organizational transformation.

Throughout his consulting career, Qian has hands-on experiences with a wide range of industries, including automotive, technology, and electronics. He has led comprehensive projects across automotive value chain, from OEMs and suppliers to aftermarket and dealerships to new energy vehicles and autonomous driving.

Having spent most of his career in both US and China, Qian has also led projects in Thailand, Malaysia, and Korea.

Prior to consulting, Qian started his career in automotive industry with stint at General Motors, Ford, and Caterpillar with focus on product development and procurement management.

  • Led NEV R&D center setup for a French auto OEM, including organization design, talent mapping, development and recruiting.
  • Led holistic operation improvement in Asia Pacific for a Canada electronics manufacturer, including manufacturing footprint optimization of 8 plants in 4 countries, manufacturing efficiency improvement, labor force optimization with $30m annual saving achieved.
  • Served as interim controller for a Thailand steel manufacturer during its restructuring, including financial and operational due diligence, debt restructuring, cash management. Successfully helped the client redesign its debt payment structure to restart its normal operation after two-year halt.
