Justin brings 18 years of experience as an auditor, forensic accountant, and regulator. As a Senior Advisor at the SEC, he helped manage Enforcement’s Office of Chief Accountant during the gap between Chief Accountants and worked on national priority areas, including market volatility, SPACs, and auditor independence; as well as working with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) on standards setting. He was instrumental in the SEC’s 2020 updates to the auditor independence rules and worked on numerous matters involving accounting, auditing, insider trading, market manipulation, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and money laundering. He has experience working with groups inside and outside the Commission, including various Department of Justice (DOJ) offices, Main Justice, PCAOB, SEC’s Office of Chief Accountant, and Corporation Finance. He received MS and BS degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
