Kevin is a Partner & Managing Director in the Investigations, Disputes and Advisory practice at AlixPartners, and is based in Chicago. He is a trusted advisor, who helps law firms, boards of directors, sponsors, and management respond to challenges across a broad range of litigation, restructuring, forensic investigations, and management consulting engagements. Kevin serves as an expert on damages, valuation, and other complex financial issues.

Over his 20+ year career, Kevin has addressed issues related to damage claims, valuation, merger & acquisition related disputes, solvency and bankruptcy-related disputes, and investigations. He has consulted with companies across many industries, including healthcare, energy, real estate, retail, automotive, manufacturing, software development and implementation, professional services, and airlines.

Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Strategic Management, and Accounting and has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance (with honors) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.

  • Led, advised on, and participated in hundreds of engagements involving complex financial issues such as damages, valuation, investigations, and business plan reviews in litigated disputes and restructuring situations.
  • Retained in post-closing disputes to assess purchase price and working capital adjustments.
  • Served as the expert to analyze the financial damages regarding a troubled IT system implementations.
  • Provided expert testimony as part of a misappropriation of trade secret dispute to evaluate damages including unjust enrichment and lost profits claims.
  • Provided expert testimony in United States Bankruptcy Courts related to valuation, solvency, and substantive consolidation issues as part of an adversary proceeding.
  • Advised independent directors regarding possible fraudulent conveyances claims including intercompany transactions and sale of assets.
  • Engaged by the lenders to investigate the borrower’s covenant compliance and calculate damages due to breaches.
