Stephen has more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience. During that career, he acquired extensive expertise in directing the development of new business strategy—including for electric, autonomous, and digital-connected vehicles and smart mobility—as well as traditional business strategy and operational transformation. Stephen also managed research and development for an industrial technology firm, specializing in active vibration control of rotating machinery. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was Ford Motor Company vice president of business strategy for Asia Pacific and a partner at Bain & Company and at A.T. Kearney.
Stephen has an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has lived in Greater China for almost 20 years.
