Learning and talent development

We develop our talent in two distinct, yet complementary ways. Based on an apprenticeship model, our recent graduate hires and interns work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced colleagues and senior client leadership teams on projects. These impactful, on-the-job experiences are supplemented by an array of targeted, award winning programs and resources and a feedback-rich culture that fosters a growth mindset and an environment of continuous learning.

Our programs stretch across the employee life cycle, and we offer several to help recent graduates and those early in their career conquer the steep learning curve of becoming a premier consultant.

The programs, such as AscendTM with AlixPartners and our Consulting Acceleration Programs (CAP), are experiential and simulate real client situations, helping you experience new capabilities while you learn and make progress in a safe, supportive environment.

Ascend™️ revolutionizes onboarding for newly hired MBAs in the firm’s consultancy practices. A comprehensive 3-week program, Ascend™️ immerses participants in role reality, ensuring a seamless transition into work, providing continuous support, fostering a culture of growth, and enabling our talented professionals to reach their full potential.

Relationships are essential for how we work. We foster an open, collegial environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing occur across all levels, and our small-team approach helps us establish deep relationships with our colleagues.

With more than 65% participation in our firm, our eight employee resource groups (ERGs) are critical to connecting our people across offices, service lines, industry groups, and levels. Our ERGs are embedded into nearly every aspect of our operations, providing varied opportunities for holistic personal and professional development.

Additionally, we offer a multi-faceted coaching and mentoring program to build rewarding partnerships with our senior leaders and colleagues. Our offerings include our Global Sponsorship and Growth Circles Peer Mentoring Programs, which are intended to enhance the retention and development of women and underrepresented minorities at our firm.
