AlixPartners strengthens Financial Advisory Services team with senior hire in Boston
AlixPartners' US Financial Advisory Services practice is strengthened with the addition of Richard Bergin as a managing director based out of the Boston office, who will add his considerable expertise in matters related to antitrust, intellectual property, and securities to the firm.
(December 28, 2016) – AlixPartners, the global business advisory firm, today announces the appointment of Richard Bergin as a new Managing Director in its Financial Advisory Services team. Richard will be based in the firm’s Boston office and will add his considerable expertise in matters related to antitrust, intellectual property, and securities to AlixPartners’ fast-growing U.S. practice.
Richard has more than 20 years’ experience assisting clients with economic and financial issues related to disputes and investigations. He has led teams in the quantification of economic damages, assessment of loss causation, and economic analysis on a wide range of complex issues involving antitrust, valuation, fraud, and market abuse.
Richard joins AlixPartners from KPMG where he was a Principal for more than four years advising companies facing investigations and disputes. Prior to that, he held senior roles at FTI Consulting, Navigant Consulting, and NERA Economic Consulting. He has testified as an expert witness in U.S. federal and state courts, FINRA, ICSID, AAA, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. He has represented clients involved in investigations and enforcement activity in commodities, derivatives and securities markets.
